How to Import Your Data from Airtable to Stackby in Minutes

Stackby allows users to easily import data directly from Airtable, eliminating the need to manually export and import CSV files. By using the newly launched Airtable Base Importer, you can bring your existing bases into Stackby in just a few minutes.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Start the Import: From your Stackby dashboard, locate the top navigation bar and click on the Import Data button to open a list of available import options.

  2. Select the Source: Choose Airtable from the dropdown menu of various data sources.

  3. Generate an Airtable Token: Open your Airtable account and navigate to the Builder Hub. Click on Create Token , add all available scopes, select “Access to all bases and workspaces” and copy your newly created token.

  4. Connect Accounts: Paste your Airtable token into Stackby.

  5. Choose Your Base: Once the connection is successful, you will be shown a list of your Airtable bases, where you can select the specific base you wish to import.

  6. Confirm Import: Click import, after which you will receive an on-screen confirmation message and an email.

  7. Review Your Data: The imported stack will appear in your dashboard, and you can also open it directly from your email. You should ensure that all rows, columns, and field types (such as text, date, and number) are formatted properly and are consistent with your original Airtable data.

Important Things to Note Before Importing

  • Unsupported Elements: Formulas and views will not be imported into Stackby.
  • Supported Elements: Everything else will be imported successfully, including Attachments, Links, and Lookup columns
